Have you started thinking about how you will get to Lowertown for the festival? We have all sorts of suggestions!
1. Take a form of public transportation. Metro Transit has generously offered FREE passes for the night of Northern Spark. To download a pass, visit buspass.northernspark.org and answer their simple survey. Please note that these are only valid for the dates and times shown on the pass.
2. Check out a Nice Ride bike nearest to your starting point and dock it at one of three stations within the festival area. For all you smartphone users, here is a free downloadable app that tells you where the nearest station is, how many bikes are available at that station, and how many spaces are available for you to dock your bike.
2+. You could also combine the first two ideas by riding a Nice Ride bike to the festival and hopping on the bus home if you don’t feel like biking back early in the morning! The best of both worlds.
3. Join a group ride! As the festival nears and group rides are organized, we will be posting times and places for you to meet up with other bikers to travel as a group to Northern Spark. Biking as a group will ensure that no one gets lost along the way and everyone arrives safely — and it will allow your night time adventure to begin even earlier! If you decide to bike home at the end of the night, consider checking in at the Bicycle First Aid Station at Lowertown Bike Shop to make any last minute adjustments.
If you are interested in leading a group ride from Minneapolis or another part of Saint Paul, please let us know! You can write to us on facebook or write to us at email@example.com.
4. Walk! If you live in Lowertown, step right outside to experience the art all night.
