Getting Around

Resources for Cyclists

Join a group ride! Cycle to Northern Spark with other festival fans. Cycling enthusiasts from different neighborhoods in Minneapolis and Saint Paul are organizing rides to and from the festival that anyone can join. Specific routes, meet-up spots, and times will be posted here in May.

Check out Nice Ride, the Twin Cities bike share system. A 24-hour subscription with unlimited trips (of 30 minutes or less) is only $6. Nice Ride stations convenient to Lowertown are marked on all festival maps. Consider parking and biking: park your car near one of Nice Ride’s many stations, fuel up with a bite to eat, then ride into Lowertown for the night.

Got a flat? Lowertown Bike Shop will be open all night and will serve as a bike first-aid station for any repairs you may need for the trip home.

If you bike to Northern Spark, don’t forget a safety light, helmet, and a bike lock.

Metro Transit

Select Metro Transit bus stops that service Lowertown are marked with a Metro Transit symbol on all festival maps. The eastbound 21A travels directly to the Union Depot. Regular fares apply. For more information on Metro Transit bus routes and times, see www.metrotransit.org/tripplanner, (612) 373-3333 TTY (651) 291-0904.

Parking ramps and lots are marked on the festival maps. Several ramps in the Lowertown area will be open all night and Union Depot also has available parking.
