With Saint Paul’s Union Depot as a major hub of this year’s festival, many projects center around the theme of travel. Employing trains, buses, rockets, interaction and imagination, these projects will transport you across time and space.

1.  MN Kino: Arrivals and Departures — short MN-made films about coming and going. Q & A with film directors at 9:45 pm. Union Depot Amtrak Platform / Gate C

2. Empire Builder — a 45 minute musical about the famous train of the same name. Union Depot Waiting Room Stage at 11 pm

3. Print Central Station — contribute to the festival’s directional signage by printing your own arrow to somewhere. Union Depot Amtrak Waiting Room

4. Arriving/Departing in Central Standard Time — take a trip back in time to the heyday of train travel with this archival footage Union Depot Waiting Room

5. Existensia — Where do you want to go? This existential travel agency will help you find your way. Union Depot Amtrak Ticket Office

6. Give me a setting sun — A visual meditation on the experience of waiting. Union Depot Bus Platform / Gate A

7. Astronaut Spirit Academy — Blast off!  Travel to space in these artist-designed rockets. Union Depot East Plaza

8. Habanera: A Sound Walk through Old Havana, Cuba — take a sonic trip to Cuba. Northwestern Building Lobby

9.  Ippississim — A sunrise tour of the past, present and future Mississippi River. Lambert’s Landing. Boarding at 3:30 am, departure at 4 am sharp.
