Suddenly Petunia Pig wasn’t a thing
To some extent we are all voyeurs; it’s human nature to be curious about other people and their private lives. It’s why we keep up with the Kardashians, and allow for a Duck Dynasty. This is a piece that explores all those aspects and more; “Suddenly Petunia Pig wasn’t a thing” is an installation movie on the third and fourth floors of CoCo Lowertown showing a variety of inhabitants and their interactions, and their subconscious motivations. Taking cues from films like Rear Window, The Conversation and American Beauty, it’s all about seeing the previously unseen. The film itself is an hour long video projection mapping from the inside of the building, an endless loop with no discernible beginning or end. Only the dialogue changes each hour, revealing the inner-workings of each character interplaying with a haunting score by Paris1919.
