Ananya Dance Theatre

Ananya Dance Theatre, a pioneer in contemporary Indian dance, is a Twin Cities-based company of women artists of color. Art Shanty Projects

Art Shanty Projects is an artist-driven temporary community devoted to expanding the notions of what art can be. It explores the ways relatively unregulated and surplus public spaces can be used as new and challenging artistic environments.

AZ Gallery

The AZ Gallery is an artists’ cooperative gallery that has been active in the heart of Lowertown since 1997. Monthly exhibitions, a gift shop, a variety of art, events, classes and more. Bedlam Theatre

The outer limit of the local imagination since 1993, Bedlam is your one-of-a-kind, iconic, irrational theatre company based in the Twin Cities as a network organization, actively collaborating with some of Twin Cities’ most innovative theater makers. Bell Museum of Natural History

The Bell Museum was established to collect, display and interpret Minnesota’s diverse animal and plant life for research, teaching and public enjoyment. Black Dog Coffee & Wine Bar

Center for Hmong Arts & Talent

Forever Young Dance

A late 90’s + early 00’s dance party that typically takes place at the Ballentine Post 246 VFW in Uptown. We will remind you of the music you forgot you loved to dance to. Music like Ginuwine, Outkast, Daft Punk, Ashanti, Justin Timberlake, Ja Rule and more!

Gorilla Yogis

Gorilla Yogis is yoga out of captivity and roaming the urban jungle. Once a month we host donation based community yoga events raising money and awareness for local organizations who do hard work to make the Twin Cities an awesome place to live.

The Hack Factory

The Hack Factory is a community based, member supported workshop space with a mission of make, share, and learn. We are a 501(c)3 nonprofit focused on education, with a metalworking shop, wood shop, classroom, and electronics lab. We teach classes to provide skills to our members and the community.

Innova Recordings

Irrigate

Landmark Center serves as a cultural center for music, dance, theater, exhibitions, public forums, and hosts countless special events. Landmark Center is owned and supported by Ramsey County and managed by Minnesota Landmarks, a non-profit agency dedicated to managing and maintaining Landmark Center as a historic landmark and cultural center.

Minnesota State Sacred Harp Singing Convention

The Minnesota State Sacred Harp Singing Convention meets regularly to sing from “The Sacred Harp” and other American shaped-note tunebooks. We’re a singing community, not a performance group. Mizna

Mizna is a forum for Arab American literature, film and art. Mizna publishes the only journal of Arab American literature, produces the Twin Cities Arab Film Festival, and invests in varied other cultural activities such as writing workshops, community dialogues, and collaborative projects that delve into the Arab American experience.

mnartists.org, a program of the Walker Art Center and McKnight Foundation, is an online directory, cultural hub and creative catalyst for Midwest artists. mnartists.org features news, arts journalism and vibrant dialog across artistic disciplines, as well as creating offline opportunities for exposure and support for working artists.

Nautilus Music-Theater

Nautilus Music-Theater provides opportunities for the artistic growth of music-theater artists who create, develop, and produce new operas and other forms of music-theater that are emotionally expansive, dramatically engaging, and spiritually stimulating. We create professional training programs for artists, and facilitate partnerships between creators, performers, and audiences.

Northern Lights.mn

Northern Lights.mn is a roving, collaborative, interactive media-oriented arts agency from the Twin Cities for the world. It presents innovative art in the public sphere, both physical and virtual, focusing on artists creatively using technology, both old and new, to engender new relations between audience and artwork and more broadly between citizenry and their built environment.

Ordway Center for the Performing Arts

The Ordway is home to a wide variety of performances throughout the year that encompass the finest in American musical theater, world music, dance, and vocal artists on its Music Theater and McKnight Theatre stages. Each summer the Ordway presents its Flint Hills International Children’s Festival and Summer Dance series.

Print Central Station

Print Central Station is a collaborative print project, combining the efforts of Peet Fetsch’s Big Table Studio, Jenni Undis’ Lunalux and Ruthann Godollei’s Printland Press. We offer Northern Spark attendees the opportunity to participate in a travel-themed evolving installation, arriving with their destination aspirations and departing with a handprinted memento.

Public Art Saint Paul

Public Art Saint Paul is a 25-year old entrepreneurial organization that brings artists together with communities to shape a public realm that fosters imagination, explores and illuminates civic values and the community’s evolving history, and strengthens public places as vessels of public life.

Rain Taxi Review of Books

Rain Taxi, a nonprofit literary organization, supports literature in all forms through its various programs, including its quarterly print magazine, Rain Taxi Review of Books, the online counterpart, www.raintaxi.com, the Rain Taxi Reading series, the annual Twin Cities Book Festival, its chapbook series, and the online Twin Cities Literary Calendar.

Revolver

Revolver is an arts and culture publication based in the Twin Cities. It publishes powerful writing on its website as well as in print, and organizes events that redefine literary.

Saint Paul Neighborhood Network

SPNN is a non-profit community media center serving Saint Paul and the Twin Cities metro area. Our mission is to empower people to use media and communications to better lives, use authentic voice and build common understanding. We operate five channels on the Comcast cable system, which reach 52,000 households.

The Schubert Club

The Schubert Club presents the world’s best classical music artists in recitals and chamber music concerts across the Twin Cities and has a museum of musical instruments and historic documents in Landmark Center, downtown St. Paul. schubert.org | @schubertclub

Science Museum of Minnesota

The Science Museum of Minnesota, founded in 1907, is a large regional science museum located on the banks of the Mississippi River in downtown Saint Paul. Its programs combine research and collection facilities, a public science education center, extensive teacher education and school outreach programs, and a Convertible Dome Omnitheater.

 

 

Screen Printing on the Cheap

SPOTC’s mission is to teach people how to screen print out of their living spaces and to design semi-professional shops with a modest budget. By utilizing cumulative knowledge from industry professionals, artists and entrepreneurs throughout Minneapolis, they have created the most comprehensive how-to book about screen printing at home.

The Soap Factory

The Soap Factory is a laboratory for artistic experimentation and innovation, dedicated to supporting artists and engaging audiences through the production and presentation of contemporary art in a unique and historic environment. Based in the historic National Purity Soap Factory in Minneapolis, The Soap Factory is a 501(c )(3) non-profit.

Springboard for the Arts

Springboard for the Arts is an economic and community development organization for artists run by artists. Its mission is to cultivate a vibrant arts community by connecting artists with the skills, information, and services they need to make a living and a life. Springboard began in 1978 as a program of United Arts; it incorporated in 1991 and has served more than 70,000 artists and arts organizations.

Students for Design Activism

Students for Design Activism connects University of Minnesota students with the public in order to produce innovative and effective design solutions that address vital community needs. SDA fosters professional growth for students and provides communities with a design voice in an atmosphere of collaboration and creativity.

Studio Sendero

Studio Sendero is a music and dance collaborative studio featuring flamenco, belly dance, yoga and Zumba located in the JAX Art Building 253 E 4th Street #502, St. Paul, MN 55101.

Twin Cities Public Television

As one of the nation’s leading public media organizations, tpt uses television, interactive media, and community engagement to advance education, culture and citizenship. Over its 50 plus year history, tpt has been recognized for its innovation and creativity with numerous awards, including Peabody awards and national and regional Emmys.

Works Progress

Works Progress is a public art and design studio led by Colin Kloecker and Shanai Matteson, multi-disciplinary artists based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. We create collaborative projects to inspire, inform and connect; catalyzing relationships across creative and cultural boundaries and providing new platforms for public engagement.

Zeitgeist

One of the longest established new music groups in the country, Zeitgeist is a music ensemble that presents a variety of new music in our Lowertown performance space, Studio Z. Always eager to explore new artistic frontiers, Zeitgeist creates work that challenges the boundaries of traditional chamber music.
