Who is that Masked Stranger? is based in the rich Mexican masked wrestler tradition, full of characters with epic names and colorful, wildly designed masks, and bombastic personas. This tradition is an essential part of Mexican popular culture and is hugely popular with the Latino communities in the United States and throughout many countries in Latin America and as far away as Japan. During Northern Spark, Who is that Masked Stranger? will bring the Mexican wrestling arena to Lowertown by bringing together an audience-created cast of characters, and the dynamics of transformation through mask wearing.
